Walk outside these days and you might find over half the people have their phone out and are playing Pokemon. Clearly from the Pokemon gyms around where I live, with Pokemon only released 2 days ago, some people have literally been playing for 2 days non-stop this weekend. I don't see how they could have such high ranking Pokemon otherwise!
Pokemon disrupting achievement in school
As a teacher I have often had students admit they played computer games for 12 hours straight. Sometimes it's the only way to understand why they didn't get the marks they should. Even Pokemon Creator Satoshi Tajiri didn't graduate from high school because of computer games until he went to a technical college to make it up (Wikipedia).
How Pokemon and Youtube can improve our world
Unsurprisingly I can't get the emails of either Susan Wojckcki (CEO of YouTube) or Satoshi Tajiri. But I put the link to this video in the help sections of the Pokemon Go and YouTube pages.
Maybe I'll get lucky or maybe a share will reach them (6 degrees of freedom) and they'll be inspired. I'm proposing that you could watch YouTube and if it were on a confirmed educational channel, YouTube and Pokemon could work together to encourage you by giving you Stardusk for when you play Pokemon Go.
I tried at least. See if I get lucky!
